Henson Building Materials is your lumber headquarters. We carry southern yellow pine, spruce, birch, fir, oak, redwood, cedar, white pine , treated pine and other special order woods. In addition, to the large inventory of lumber available for pick up, we also deliver larger quantities to the job site. We carry products to build the smallest projects to the most grand. Yellow Pine
Pines are among the most commercially important of tree species, valued for their timber and wood pulp throughout the world. Commercial pines are grown in plantations for timber that is denser, more resinous, and therefore more durable than spruce. Pine wood is widely used to build furniture, window frames, paneling and floors. We are proud to offer the finest quality southern yellow pine available.  All Henson locations stock only #1 grade construction pine.

Spruce
Spruce wood, often called whitewood, is used for many purposes, ranging from general construction work and crates to highly specialized uses in wooden aircraft and many musical instruments, including guitars, mandolins, cellos, violins, and the soundboard at the heart of a piano. The Wright Brothers first aircraft was built of spruce.

Cedar
Cedars are very popular ornamental trees, widely used in horticulture in temperate climates where winter temperatures do not fall below about −25 °C. The Turkish Cedar is slightly hardier, to −30 °C or just below. Extensive mortality of planted specimens can occur in severe winters where temperatures do drop lower.
